Online shop semenata.bg presents Czech variety seeds of goat horn pepper variety Beros. (Beros). The peppers, which are characteristic of the variety, are long and thin fruits, not hot in taste. So do not let the appearance of the fruit fool you. If you don't like spicy, eat Beros in its raw state. If you prefer very hot peppers, try growing cayenne peppers from seed.
The peppers reach 14 to 15 inches in length, resembling the so familiar Chorbadji peppers. At technical maturity, the Cauliflower Pepper is pale green in colour, while the ripe fruit is coloured deep red.
The growing period lasts from 100 to 110 days.
You could use the Beros goat's horn pepper for canning and for making winter vegetables. Pickled is also an option. If you're a fan of small fried peppers, make a salad with the sweet peppers of the Beros variety.
When starting to sow the seeds of the Beros pepper, it is good to know that you need to prepare 150 to 200 grams of seeds per one acre of land, as a rough guide. 150 to 180 grams of seed per acre of land will be needed if you are sowing for an early harvest. 150 to 200 grams for medium-early and late yields.
As regards sowing periods, they are as follows - for early sowing, in the first two weeks of February, for medium-early sowing, in the first twenty days of March, and for late sowing, in the first two weeks of summer June.
For early sowing, place the seed 0,5 to 1 cm deep in the ground, for medium-early and late sowing, 2 to 3 cm deep. As a minimum, soil temperatures for seed germination are 15 degrees Celsius.
When you have prepared the seedlings in advance in greenhouses, it is necessary to sow them outdoors when there is no danger of frost. A guideline for this is the established constant temperature values. The frosts have now passed and the plants will develop successfully without danger of frost.
The recommended pattern to follow is to leave 60 cm from one row to the next and 15 cm from one plant to the next. This method of transplanting will provide sufficient living space for the developing plants, helping to improve crop yields.
Goat's horn pepper is attractive because of its good yields. These are the reasons why Beros is one of the most sought-after vegetable varieties by growers of the specific type of pepper.
