Seeds of 'Heart of Albenga' - a high quality tomato variety from the Apennines, which is at the top of the rich catalogue of the semenata.bg garden centre.

Historically, the exotic tomato variety was specially selected by industry experts in the Italian town of Albenga (in Italy), where for generations the local vegetable growers have been famous for their strong traditions and great results in agriculture.

The 'Heart of Albenga' tomato is distinguished by its unique pear-like shape, bright red colour and distinctive ribbing, which sharply distinguishes it from other popular varieties.

The tomatoes of this variety are large, have medium firmness and thin zips, have a great taste and smell and their flesh is firm and fleshy. They usually weigh up to 200 or 220 grams, as long as they are tended according to the rules and regularly irrigated and fertilised with tomato fertiliser.

It takes only 25 to 40 grams of 'Heart of Albenga' seeds to sow 1 hectare of land. In turn, the variety produces consistently high and quality yields of 6 to 8 tonnes per hectare.

The experts from the online garden shop semenata.bg advise to use this Italian tasty tomato mainly fresh as a salad, garnish or decoration to any variety of food. However, the 'Heart of Albenga' variety is also suitable for making chutneys, ketchup, tomato juice or tomato puree, consarva with peeled, whole or cut tomatoes.

The variety is characterised by its medium-early development and thrives well if well cared for both outdoors in farmland and indoors in a greenhouse or greenhouse.

Seeds are sown from the 20th day of January to about the 25th day of February and the growing period lasts about 100 - 110 days. For medium-early and late production, the variety is also sown from 1 to 30 March and from 25 April to 10 May, with a temperature range of at least around 15 degrees.

It is a good idea to leave 80 to 120 centimetres of spacing from row to row and 35 to 45 centimetres from plant to plant. This ensures better ventilation and facilitates the development of tomato plants and high yields.

Albenga's Heart tomatoes (also known as Albena's Heart) are grown in rows and on stakes, both outdoors and indoors in a greenhouse or greenhouse.

They are a favourite vegetable for every table across our country, as well as on restaurant menus, in chain stores and in canneries around the country, according to observations by the semenata.bg team.
