During the winter months, jars of chillies are particularly popular in Bulgaria. On almost every Bulgarian table you will see the delicious, red chillies. Diversify the traditional Ribki and Shipka peppers with this attractive goat's horn variety. They go particularly well with Bulgarian home-cooked beans. The combination has an excellent taste and is appreciated even by foreign guests of our country, who have tried it in restaurants that grow this variety especially for lovers of spicy.

When preserving chillies, a good combination is obtained by mixing the spicy Roquita pepper with various vegetable products. Canned chillies made in this way will be appreciated by lovers of spicy food.

As a minimum, the temperature values to germinate the seeds are 15 degrees Celsius. As the crop is heat-loving, the ideal temperature for Roquita is 22 to 25 degrees Celsius.

It takes two to three weeks for Rokita red chilli seeds to show above ground. If you are sowing indoors, you can start from February. For outdoor spaces, wait for the frost to pass. This will prevent possible frost damage to the young plants.

Flower boxes and similar containers are very suitable if you decide to sow the seed at home. The height to which they rise is only 50 centimetres, ideal for placing in the window at home. This way you will be able to take advantage of the fruits at any time.

Thedried state is also an option. Use them to bring flavour when preparing different dishes.

For early sowing, sow the seed from 1 to 15 February, for medium-early sowing - 1 to 20 March. As the depth in the ground, the values are from 0.5 to 1 cm, there is no need to cover with a lot of soil. As a distance from one plant to another, leave to 25 centimetres.

One tip to protect against the pungency of the peppercorns: wash yourself when you have touched the peppercorns or seed and do not touch the eyes under any circumstances to protect them from the pungency.
