The online shop semenata.bg has added Serbian large pepper seeds to its catalogue. The added seeds are of the pepper variety White Ear. The variety is characterised by very large peppercorns. Their structure is extremely fleshy, which makes them sought after by many domestic growers. The value of the variety is determined by their ideal qualities. One of these is the richness of the vitamin components. Mineral substances are also not in excess, quite the contrary.

It is a well-known fact that peppers, referring to all types, contain many healthy substances. The White Ear variety is no exception to the rule.

Eat the peppers fresh in a salad, and you will get a particularly useful combination by combining them with other fresh vegetables. When done in this way, the combination will bring you the healthy substances you need.

Peppers have pale green flowers in their infancy. At full maturity they turn deep red. In addition to being appetisingly fleshy, the skin of the peppers is thin. This helps a lot when roasting the peppers, as you can easily peel them. With baked peppers, one of the most tedious procedures is inevitably that of peeling the skin. By choosing these peppers, you will reduce the cooking time.

The plants that grow are tall, vigorous and stable. In fact, this is quite logical, given the size of the peppers. The plants need enough strength to feed them. One plant produces 5 to 6 peppers weighing 200 to 250 g.

The production of the pepper variety - White Ear - is of two types. The first is for the production of early peppers, the second for medium-early production. If you prefer the former, sow the seeds in the first 15 days of February. If the second type is chosen, sow the first 20 days of March.

Sow the seeds in rows. When making the rows themselves, leave 50 to 60 centimetres. Place the plants 20 to 25 centimetres apart. This tried-and-tested scheme leaves room for future pepper plants to develop.

The growing period is 110 to 140 days.

For soil conditions, choose well-drained, enriched soil, let the nutrients in it be sufficient. If a less saturated soil surface is chosen, be sure to fertilise with the appropriate fertiliser mixture.

If good conditions are provided for the pepper plants to develop, expect enviable yields of 5 to 6 tonnes per acre of planting.

As we said above, large peppers are ideal for salads, but you can also use them as an arrangement. When cut lengthways or widthways, you will get a great decoration. The specific flavour of peppercorns is also not to be ignored, it always enriches any dish.
