The red tiles are square in shape and on the upper side, they have a checkered pattern, which consists of squares. This model is highly valued because it can be easily combined with the model of small concrete paving bricks 8/8/8 cm or 10/10/6 cm, especially in cases where the flooring is built with the same elevation, which has a pedestrian part and one part for passing cars.

Tips for laying the red checkered concrete tiles.

One of the most important things when laying red tiles is to prepare a solid and durable foundation. In most cases, the soil layer about 15 - 20 cm thick is scraped.

Store this soil nearby, as it could be used for landscaping purposes.

It is good to provide a slope for drainage of the pavement according to the project for vertical planning. If you perform only repair work and do not have such a project, use a minimum slope of 1 cm per 1 m.

For the basis of red paving checkered tiles, use stabilized construction sand (a mixture of cement and sand in the ratio - cement: sand - 1: 10). The fraction of sand should be 0/5 to 2/5 mm.

Construction sand must be well compacted and compacted mechanically (usually a rammer type foot compactor or roller). After compaction, level the base well.

Arrange the red tiles with a solution of water and cement. Through it, you will strengthen the connection between the tile and the base. The plates can be adjusted with a rubber mallet or by hand.
